It's Fall...and here in Florida, it might actually feel like it this weekend.
Next weekend, we're heading up to St. Simons Island in Georgia for a youth retreat. We're hoping to feel a little more Fall up there too.
The week after the retreat is the week before Halloween. It's going to be a short and rather busy one for us, so we're planning to study Fall that week. One day we'll focus on pumpkins...another day we'll center our studies on apples...and one day we'll focus on leaves.
Which brings me to a bit of a problem, and thus the request.
We live in Florida.
Central Florida to be exact.
Leaves don't fall in Central Florida.
Well, a few do...but they're usually brown.
Brown leaves aren't exciting.
So we're asking for a little help. We're asking for your leaves...not a lot...just a few...to help us study leaves and where they come from.
If you could throwing a few leaves in an envelope and mail them to us, we would appreciate it very much. If you need our address, you can click on the "email me" link underneath my photo over there or just send me an email at [email protected].
And I will definitely be sharing pictures of what we do with them.
Thank you!
Well, St. Simons will feel more like fall than Clermont...but it's not as fall-ish as Athens, GA!!! I really think for your leaf study...the Widlunds ought to drive up to Athens to see the leaves on our downtown trees. BEAUTIFUL! Plus, it really feels like fall up here...you'll need some long-sleeves and jeans.
I do have a few slightly dried leaves from our weekend in Blowing Rock, NC last weekend. Want those for your leaf study?
